With limited space, the yacht had previously Kilo-Pak generator sets installed with a wet exhaust muffler inside the sound enclosure. Due to Soot reduction requirements there was a challenge how to organize this setup within the space available.

Zenoro supplied two single elastic sound enclosed 118 ekW generator sets, IMO exempted, driven with John Deere 6068AFM85 and Stamford UCM274H. A carrying frame was installed in the sound box for the installation of a Zero Soot system.

Xeamos opted for a flat electrical Zero Soot system with side inlet and aft outlet. From there a dry pipe goes inside the sound enclosure connected with a water mixer and soundown inside water separator. All customer connections were made in the baseplate.

Because of the yachts tight refit schedule air freight was opted.

A lot of thanks to our Australian refit dealer MPS in Brisbane who did an excellent job. Both generator sets were commissioned online with their assistance too due to the COVID situation and our commissioning engineers not being able to travel.
